AFS Web Makes a Video for Google and AMEX

11/22/2011

AFS Web makes great websites, web software and now web videos?

The team at AFS Web had a lot of fun one afternoon shooting the segments for the My Business Story video project sponsored by Google and American Express and found on YouTube.  No, we are not ready to add web video production to our list of web services (though we do a lot of video optimization for the web - very different).  This video tells the tale of how AFS Web was started in 1997 and what has led to our success during these 14 years.

What Did it Take to Make this Video?

The YouTube site says that any business can make a video for this project using a simple hand-held video camera.  But, we decided to see what two high definition digital SLR cameras on tripods could do instead.  We used a Canon T3i and a Nikon D7000 (the Nikon was the winner when it came to video quality) so different perspectives could be achieved with each segment.  Once all of the segments were filmed, we used video editing software to improve the shots and edit them together with still photos for illustration.  It was a lot of work, but a good product to share with you today.  Enjoy!
