The Steps to Create Your New Web Site

We design each site in Adobe Photoshop as it will look once it becomes an HTML page. You'll see how the navigation will work and how the colors and photographs will work together. At this stage we will present a few mock-ups to you for review and feedback. Once we have an agreed upon design, we will then move into cutting the design, optimizing the graphics for faster download times and then coding the pages.

Your second review will be online and you will be looking at coded web pages that are almost complete. We will ask for your text edits and missing content so that they may be added. If we are building a custom database application, you will also start to test the programming for flow and features. Your feedback is used to make changes and then we work to complete the project. A final walk through of the site and application is done and final revisions are due. Once we are both pleased with the results, the site is taken live.

Next Steps

Once your site is built, you'll be part of our Hosting Service and will also want to consider our Online Marketing Services. Keeping the site up to date is easy with our Contracted Update Services, too.

Design
Smarter Design is so much
more than a pretty picture

The difference between a successful web site and a failure is found in the planning, design, and marketing of the site. We start with our consulting services to set goals and outcomes for the project before we move into our graphic design services. Each site is custom designed to meet the goals that have been established. We review your competition and determine what type of look will place you ahead of the pack. Usability is also very important - a great web site looks good while being accessible to 99.8% of all web browsers.

What to Expect from AFS Web

Your new web site will speak volumes about your company or organization. Not only is the actual "look and feel" a concern, but a number of other items are at stake. Can your visitor find what they are looking for? Does your visitor gain the confidence that your company provides the best quality and service? Does your web site technically work on both Netscape and IE browsers - on Mac and PC? Is your web database secure? Do you know how your web site is being used? Our clients know that each of these items have been addressed.
