Steps to a Web Site Redesign

What makes our redesigned sites work best is that we start every project with the three principals of an effective web site - targeted marketability, quality design, and technical success. In plain English, this means that your web site needs to make sense to your customers, it needs to communicate that you are a quality provider of your products or services, and it needs to work in a variety of browsers and connection speeds.

To meet these principals, we ask a number of questions and research what is going on in your industry. With those answers, we step through this process:

  1. Assess what is currently working in the old site (traffic, content, navigation) and what you would like to accomplish.
  2. Review competitors and report what they are doing that is innovative or effective.
  3. Suggest site features and design style to bring your site ahead of the competition.
  4. Create a new graphical design that follows planning and goals.
  5. Code site and create any database integrated areas.
  6. Review progress and work toward the launch date. Test web site on a variety of browsers and platforms.
  7. Assess impact of new site through hosting statistics reports and customer contacts.
